Hello. Welcome to my adventure! In the “Amateur Kitchen” series, I will actively document my adventure to learn to cook properly. This series is perfect for anyone who feels intimidated by classic dishes or culinary techniques, yet wants to dive in anyway.
My goal? To learn from iconic recipes from different cultures, understand the “why” behind cooking methods, and share many understandings throughout my adventure. Consider it a beginner’s roadmap to gaining confidence in the kitchen through plenty of trial, error and a whole lot of fun.
I’ll teach multiple skills, ranging from the important basics of knife skills to mastering popular classics like ‘bibimbap,’ ‘risotto,’ or ‘coq au vin.’ There is no formal training here—only a few amateurs with huge passion for learning as well as a strong desire to help many others join the adventure.
